Breast Cancer Awareness Month

My grandmother died of Breast Cancer before I was born. I never got to meet her but the people of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico will tell you stories that she had a warrior spirit and gracious heart. From a very young age, I had attended numerous Breast Cancer rallies and hosted fundraisers to bring awareness to this cause. Galleria Alexxis is proud to support the Dr. Susan Love Foundation on their quest to find a cure! For the entire month of October, we are proud to contribute 15% of every sale from our Breast Cancer Collection to this foundation! 

I want to shed light on something I learned in college when studying Business. Not all 501c "Nonprofit" organizations are ethical. Not all of the money raised goes where they tell you it's going to go. The only way you can know for sure is researching the organization on www.charitynavigator.org When picking a foundation to support I wanted to ensure that I choose a reputable foundation that will make every dollar count. Something about the Dr. Susan Love Foundation resonated with my soul. Not to mention, they score high marks in regards to being a reputable foundation!
